Is the Sustainor “louder” than the Distortion Generator?

So I’ve been alternating between my Sustainor and Distortion Generator for distorted sounds these days, and have noticed that my Sustainor (a 100A dated days before the 200 came out) seems noticeably louder than my DG when both are set at the same volume and treble boost settings. I had another Sustainor and Distortion Generator long ago and I seem to recall the same thing. I vaguely remember having the Sustainor volume set at 0 (triangle) and the DG volume set at +5 in order to have the same perceived volume level.

Anybody have any thoughts or experiences on this?
