Sustainor Channel Switch

Post by dreamevil »

Hi.
Question 1: Can you suggest me a footswitch(any brand or model) that can control the sustainors channels(via connected to Channel jack input)?

Question 2: Is there a way to find sustainor's 4-way switches to replace ?

Thanks.

I've been mostly using a Boss FS-6. I've also successfully used a Peavey one-button foot switch for controlling Rockmodules. If you get the Rockman MIDI octopus, you can use MIDI control. I think that's pretty popular with this crowd.

I don't know about question 2.

Make sure it's a Boss FS-5L. The Boss FS-5U doesn't latch.

Any latching foot switch will work. You can make your own in a box for $5.

What is wrong with your 4-way slide switch?

They are working suck. I need to hit it hard after selecting. The sound is not stable.(comes and goes all the time)
It is not only about the 4-way switches. All switches or buttons make rustling sound when set them.

You might want to consider some repair/refurb. The Rockmodules all date from the 80s and 90s. I've had almost all of my Rockman units worked on. It made a huge difference. The two active Rockman specialists that I'm aware of are:

I've been going to David Ferringer, he's been fantastic to work with. I can't speak for B5 Amplification, but I've heard good reports.
