Got pretty close to the rockman sound with a few pedals

Post by Ash517 »

I was listening to the Alice In Chains album Dirt when I noticed a familiar tone. Turns out Jerry Cantrell used a Rockman along with some bogners to get his sound on that record. I noticed it the most on "Down In A Hole" so I used the intro lead part and the chorus for this little demo. After that I play the Peace of Mind riff while turning on the different pedals in the chain to slowly get closer to the tone. The chain is as follows:
Epiphone Les Paul Studio > Boss SD-1 > ProCo Rat 2 > MXR 10 Band EQ > Redwirez Marshall 1960 IRs
For the Down In A Hole demo I also used Logic's built in stereo spread to give it a wider sound, but I left that out for the later portion. Here are the settings.
