My Practice tracks...

Post by RockmanCentralBob »

Here's a link to My Covers page on RockmanCentral.com where I've added a few MP3's of me practicing to my backing tracks.
This was a rough practice as I was in a hurry to record them for a buddy to rehearse the drums to.
So yeah.... lot's of screw ups!! LOL!!

BTW, I just re-recorded the whole set list today... which just means I probably played some places better where I messed up before, and messed up in places I played OK before.

I also just dumped it as one big MP3 so the times won't have to change if I re-record it again as I add more songs.
I have 4 songs left to record to finish the set list I have in mind....

Don't Be Afraid
Something About You
Hitch A Ride
Foreplay/Longtime

When I get around to it, I'll set up my video camera and record me playing the whole thing and post it on my YouTube channel.
Not sure who will want to watch me crank out Boston tunes for 2 hours straight, but it'll be there for anyone who does!

Well, I recorded another practice from tonight and replaced the old track.
My playing still is far from perfect, but I'm fairly happy with how this one came out.

Another update...

I've split the tracks out and embedded players directly in the webpage for anyone that didn't want to scan for a particular song.
BTW, special thanks to Taylor Rhodes who provided the backing track (with some tasty guitars tracks of his own!) for the Star Spangled Banner!

Thanks Bob. It's great stuff. I've shared the link over on FB. I think there should be some interest in how you did it.
