It may be that the OP's issue is the Vox Saturator input.

RockmancentralBob.

Do you mind sharing your settings for each:
The GC and the MXR EQ?
Thanks
The JVM you use, is that the Joe Satriani signature?

On the GC.
Input gain: 0
Mode: Anti Noise
Trble Boost: 12
Output Volume: 0

MXR 6 Band settings are the one's from Tom's original pedalboard... you should be able find them on the board or using Google (don't have them handy... sorry).

Yes, it's the Satriani model.... friggin awesome amp!!!!

Thanks Bob.

I searched a JVM forum and found another one of your post for the pics:

Mid way down.

Great write up even though I'm a few years late reading this stuff.
I checked out your youtube channel and your covers of Boston sound great!
Especially the hyperspace pedal.

I plan to build one this winter when I have time.
I'm an Instrument Technologist and I like to tinker with equipment as well.
Built an organ amp from 1964 conn organ and Harmon Kardon pre-amp
Sounds great.

Just acquired another Hammond but it still works great and not sure if I want to chop the poor thing yet.

Anyways, I will look for an MXR 6 band EQ and come back with results.

Yeah, I have 2 full stacks... one is the typical black 1960 Lead cabinets with the G12T-75's which are more 80's with lots of bite.
The other I got with the HJS which is the Hand Wired "Salt and Pepper" cabinets with the G12H-30's..... REALLY 70's sounding midrange!!
I used to play them in Stereo (with a Rockman Stereo Chorus/Echo) when I still had the JVM 410H to run the other set of cabinets.
That was an AWESOME sound!!!!!

It's a great amp, no doubt about it.
But if I was going to put out that much coin, I'd just go for a Kemper.
I mostly just play through the Kemper anymore with a profile I created from my Rev 20 Sustainor....
Of course, I profiled the HJS too, so I can play that anytime I want as well.
Or, I can just download any one of 10,000+ profiles online for free of pretty much any amp I want.
Hard to go wrong with a Kemper!!!

Not a great recording... but just a quick demo of the Kemper going from Clean to Full out Distortion just by using an expression pedal...

That is a great sounding clip.
That's just through the Kemper and your pedal?
I'm not very familiar with the Kemper, I'll have to read up on it...
I have a small fender Mustang that is a modelling amp but not spent much time with it. I just use for practice in the early morning.
I'll check out this Kemper.

That clip really doesn't sound that good compared to how it sounds in the room.... I think my recording levels were off or something.
Again, that was just a REALLY quick demo....

Yeah, just an Epi Les Paul, Hyperspace Pedal and the Kemper.... well, I do have it going into a Rockman Stereo Chorus and Stereo Echo, but that's par for the course.

Here's a link to the Kemper Website...

Not sure this one is any better but....
Rev20 Kemper.mp3
BTW, this is all on one "patch"... the only change I made while playing was to use the expression pedal for clean/Distortion changes.

Again sounds great.

Ok so you use your expression pedal to change between clean and distortion?
Can you explain, because I don't understand how an expression pedal makes that change.
What brand pedal are you using. My understanding is these pedals have a potentiometer.

Is the hyperspace effect via the Kemper as well?
Or are you using the real deal, the Modded echoplex?

Also, are you using a line leveler after the kemper and before the SC & SE?
Sorry for all the questions.
