Carver PM-175

Post by GRIMland »

I was looking over my 1989 Carver PM-175 (non Rockman) that I haven't powered on for probably close to 20 years and noticed a mylar cap had cracked which leaked onto a resistor and there's smoke traces going up the chassis (pics attached). I remember it working fine last time I used it probably around 2004 and didn't see any smoke. Any idea what damage could have occurred to components? I was thinking this might be power section and hopefully no harm done. I'll be honest I've never seen a mylar cap crack and leak before, I thought electrolytics were the only ones that needed replacing over time.

Anyone know the specs on these components for replacement?
