I have 2 of these Rane MPE 14 eqs that I used in the past, they are 2 chanel, they work very good are midi controllable. The one downside is the freq controls take some getting used to.

I came up with the idea of modding the Digitech MEQ Dual 14 since I couldn't find a PGE2.
Worked like a charm!!
Bob,

I've been holding onto two of these for a while now that I picked up on eBay a couple of years ago. I seem to remember a document floating around out in the netherworld that detailed the requirements to convert the EQ ranges over to a PGE2 equivalent. You wouldn't by any chance have access to this document and be willing to share?

It was posted on the
old Rockman Central website. I had copied it onto my hard drive, but that hard drive crashed. I finally found a dual 14 band MEQ and was ready to get to work, and now I'm stuck. If anybody finds this info please let me know.

You might try contacting David Accomando at PSRR. He used to do those modifications.

I figured out the component values for the PGE2 bandpass filters. These come in handy if you want to modify a Digitech MEQ-series device:

The Digitech schematics are available from Digitech (you have to request one) or perhaps from a friendly forum member! :D

Fantastic! I just got my hands on an MEQ Dual 14; this diagram and chart are VERY helpful. Does anyone have the schematic for the DigiTech unit(s)? Doesn't appear on DigiTech discontinued items anymore. Not sure I'll need it, but would sure be nice to have. Thanks in advance!

DigiTech sent me the schematic for the Mono 28. They aren't sure there was one for the Dual 14, but if there was, they lost it in the move...

Unfortunately the two are different: MEQ-28 has 1/3 octave bands while MEQ-14 has 2/3 octave bands. The basic filter design will be the same, though.

I suggest you start with taking photos of both sides of the PC board, so you can reverse engineer where the filter op amps and their associated resistors and capacitors are located.
