Distortion Module has No Ground?

Post by JRjr »

Hi Guys:

After sending my 1st DG Purchase back due to the noise, I purchased another, but it appears
the plug is one missing the ground prong. Is this normal? I could not remember if the one I sent back had one.

Also, the unit is very quiet when played alone, but it appear to be having noise issues when plugged into the sustainer effects.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Hi JRjr!

Yes, it should have a ground. And assuming you are playing through both a Sustainor and Distortion Generator at the same time, the compression stages in each module being on at the same time will most likely cause noise. Potentially a lot of noise. You need to bypass one of the units when playing through the other.

Very respectfully,
