Octopus 101-108

Post by ned911 »

Trying to use program change numbers 101-108 to activate individual effects. However when I send program changes it just moves the preset up or down likes it's receiving 109 or 110 which I've verified it is not.

Anyone use an Octopus like this before?

Interesting....I've never tried using the Octopus this way.
I hope you figure it out....

The manual states that program change 101-108 can be used to turn on/off each switch (A-H). 109 will cause patch to increase and 110 to decrease (that may be backwards). However neither of my Midi Octopus work this way.

I just tried it on my Rockman rig - two Octopi controlled by a Rockman MIDI Pedal. Works exactly as described in the manual!

Are you using a Rockman MIDI pedal or another means to send the PC commands?

Was trying to send CC commands not PC commands.

OK - your original post mentions PC commands, which is the right thing to do. The MIDI Octopus will not respond to CC commands!
