Differences between the Rockman IIB and the Rockman X100

Post by Jman5625 »

Hi all I'm pretty new to the Rockman scene, but I have been wanting to get in for awhile. Title kinda gives away my question, but I'll say it again. What are the differences, if any, between the Rockman IIB and the Rockman X100? Thanks for your help!

I still have my original X100 and love it. Recently when refurbishing an original Rev 3, I found it to have a more spacious less compressed sound which is great for classic rock. The X100 uses LED as clipping diodes and its called hard clipping. The original, II and IIB use diodes and is called soft clipping. Both sound great, but slightly different. That's why I'm keeping both for now!
