Hi everyone, my name is Roberto!
I own several Rockman modules and I have a question regarding the output volume levels in my setup.
Here’s my current signal chain:
Guitar → Sustainor Model 100 → Stereo Chorus (stereo out) → Stereo Echo (stereo in and out)
Here are the details of my current settings:
On the Stereo Chorus, I’ve selected the Normal Chorus mode (so not “Long Chorus”).
The output is usually set to "Wide", sometimes "Normal".
The input level is set to -6dB, as recommended in the manual (since the signal comes from the Sustainor).
On the Stereo Echo, I’ve selected the middle output mode (meaning both Main and Echo are stereo).
The input level is also set to -6dB, again following the manual's recommendation.
Here’s the issue:
When I activate the chorus (turn off bypass), I get a noticeable volume boost.
With the chorus bypassed, the output volume is at one level, but once it’s active, it jumps up quite a bit.
Is this behavior normal?
Could the unit need servicing?
Or am I missing something in the configuration?
I also own a Stereo Chorus/Delay unit, and using the same settings and routing, I don’t seem to experience this issue.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me figure this out! 🙏

Re: Stereo Chorus boost volume problem
Here you can see...
I have play the same chords with stereo chorus and chorus/delay...
You can see when I activate (disable bypass) the chorus effect (exact the same settings)...
With the stereo chorus there is a volume boost

Oh, I'd give it a week or two. You can get a sense of how often users visit from the "Members" link at the bottom of the page. If you left click on the top of the "last active" column, that will sort by the last time members visited while logged in. That should give you an idea of how often people visit.

More to your question, having had both a Stereo Chorus/Delay, and a Stereo Chorus, I never noticed a difference. On the other hand, I had them both refurbished. I've since traded away the Stereo Chorus, so now I don't have them for comparison.

Re: Stereo Chorus boost volume problem
The seller assured me that the Stereo Chorus naturally has a volume boost. I believe that's a lie to pass off a faulty unit...
According to the technical specs and what’s stated in the manual, the Stereo Chorus (like the Stereo/Delay, Stereo Echo, etc.) has unity gain — meaning the input level is identical to the output level.
