Tuning to 432hz

Post by Dale »

Have you ever tuned your guitar to 432 instead of the standard 440?
I have read many discussions about this as it is supposed to be the actual correct concert pitch. Tom will tune his guitar live lower than studio and I was wondering if this what he is using.

I thought he said in an interview that he was doing like 10% or so, but I could be mistaken. He does that so his guitar will stand out from Gary's guitar.

Most people won't notice if you tune down half a step while playing live, and that half step is really nice for the vocalist, especially if they sing in a high register.
