The Other Rig
So I decided to go the road-case route. I picked up a Gator case. Never mind the power strip. I'll be replacing that with rack power soon. I'm not sure what else is going in there yet.

Re: The Other Rig
I finally decided on what's going in the middle. Nothing. One reason is because I think the Sustainor and Chorus/Delay are good enough to do what I have in mind. The other reason is accessibility to the backs of the Rockmodules and power conditioner, so I can re-patch things without a lot of trouble. We'll see how long this arrangement lasts.
Best,

Re: The Other Rig
I've been thinking about a pair of pre-distortion EQ's. Something along the line of a dbx 215s, or Peavey PV 215EQ. The Peavey has 500 Hz. I'd rather have a pair of Rockman EQ's, but it might take some time to find those.GuitarBuilder wrote:I think you need a couple of EQs........

Don't forget the MXR 10 band pedals.
Lots of awesomeness.

Re: The Other Rig
Good point. I might be able to hide a pair in a rack mount drawer and use them in the Sustainor effects loop with a Y cable. Use one for clean and the other for edge/distortion.Guitarvamp wrote:Don't forget the MXR 10 band pedals.Lots of awesomeness.

Re: The Other Rig
It turned out my neighbor was selling his Behringer Ultragraph Pro. I'm starting out with channel 1 of the Behringer assigned to the Sustainor effects loop, just for distortion. Channel 2 is assigned to the Sustainor output before the Chorus/Delay. I'll experiment with that for a while.

Re: The Other Rig
I picked up a Y-cord and 1U rack cover. I tend to run clean on channel 1 and edge/distortion on channel 2 of the Sustainor. I patched the Behringer to follow that convention, channel 1 being assigned to clean and channel 2 to edge/distortion in the Sustainor effects loop. That will keep me busy for a while.
