Rockman Gear Up - A Look Back at Q1 / Q2 Fundraiser

Welcome to second quarter 2019! I'd like to take a brief look at Q1 along with some thoughts for Q2. Over the last quarter, 29 topics were discussed on the forum. I'd like to welcome the eleven members that joined us during the quarter. The Rockman Gear Up Facebook page now has 1,545 followers.

I'd also like to make a big shout out for Bob Martyn. He has returned the RockmanCentral web site back to life. You can find it at:

RockmanCentral is a terrific resource for identifying Rockman gear and how it has been used by the band Boston over the years. If you have't seen it since its return to the Internet, you should check it out.

That being said, it's time for the rockman-gearup.com quarterly fund raiser! Our forum exists because of loyal contributors like yourself. There are a lot of ways to contribute. Participation and advocacy are critical.

Another way is financial. Hosting web sites isn't free. There are costs associated with server hosting, domain registration and purchasing encryption certificates for running a secure web site.

For this quarter, I'm going to set a fund raising target of $67.74. That number is the total quarterly cost of the encryption certificate used for rockman-gearup.com and the Amazon instance cost for the instance that hosts rockman-gearup.com. Amazon dropped their pricing a little bit, so I adjusted the fundraising target from last quarter.

I'll report the progress toward the fundraising target on the forum. If the contributions go beyond the fundraising target, the excess will be used to promote the forum on Facebook.

I'll suggest a $3 contribution. You can change that to a different amount. You might consider $5, $10 or $20. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions. Tell a friend! Here's the link:
