I was browsing YouTube earlier, when I ran into this video of this guy promoting a kickstarter for some kind of rockman distortion pedal. Any thoughts on it?

The kickstarter died unsuccessfully; let's hope they try again!

Goat Design will let you pay with PayPal too, when you contact them on their website. The only reason I didn't become a backer on the Kickstarter campaign was I didn't want to give Kickstarter my credit card info.
Total shipped was 37,500 JPY (34,000 JPY + 3,500 JPY shipping) which exchanged at $369.40 at the time. They will offer higher shipping for insurance for another 2,500 JPY but, as far as I'm concerned, insurance is the responsibility of the seller.
They shipped it the same day I paid. It was sent DHL Express and tracking is showing a delivery date of this Friday. I'll try to remember to post pictures when I get it. Don't expect a review though. I'm not much of a guitar player. I'll probably have to send it to someone to do a review. Taylor, are you volunteering? :-)

It arrived yesterday.
5" x 5" x 2"
1 1/2 lbs
It sounds like a Rockman DG to me. They even duplicated that famous Rockman hiss. :-)
They sent a t-shirt too.

Hey, what level is the output, line or instrument?

Re: Kickstarter for "new Rockman distortion pedal"
You are going to have to clarify that for me. :-)
I'm willing to send it to you to check out, if you want. Maybe afterwards, you can send it to Taylor for another one of his YouTube reviews.
I just bought it out of curiosity. To be honest, I can't get motivated to get better with the guitar so I probably won't use it for some time. I'm willing to let other members of the forum check it out to see if it would be worth their while to purchase their own.

Oh, I think it will be pretty obvious. If it's way too loud for your guitar amp input, it's probably a line out level. Just turn the output on the effect all the way down, then turn it up carefully.X100Ver10 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:02 pmYou are going to have to clarify that for me. :-)

So you should probably just send it to Taylor. Less chance of breakage. I can wait to try one later on.
