Guitar Ace DI

Post by rbc »

I've been experimenting with using the Guitar Ace as a DI. I’ve found that the auxiliary input makes a much quieter output than the headphone output. With the volume all the way up (with the battery I had on hand), it’s about a microphone level. You will need a microphone pre-amp to boost it at the board:

PS: Having the DI in link mode was an oversight. I meant to have it in 2 channel mode. I corrected it after I took the photo. I was just trying to ground the other connection, instead of letting it lie there loose, maybe picking up noise. You might also want to send the signal to two places, easy to do since the Ace is delivering two copies of the same output.
