After far too long, I finally went out and ordered a TC Gakki Goat Generator, new from Tokyo. We'll see how long it will take for delivery in these days of challenged supply chains:
I've been experimenting with various pedalboard DI configurations, using the Radial JDX Direct-Drive, EHX Tortion, Vox Valvenergy pedals (Mystic Edge, and Silk Drive) and Tech 21 Sansamp derivatives (Palmer Pocket Amp II, Behringer TM 300, etc). The idea is to mix the Goat Generator in with my other DI gear. We'll see what happens.

Re: TC Gakki Goat Generator
I was really surprised to see this had come in today. I've barely tested it, but all the basic functions are working just fine:

Looks nice, hope to hear some samples!
I'm still hoping they will release the Stereo Echo and Chorus soon

This thing is great. The only thing it needs now is a XLR out, with the ability to be powered from phantom power.

I've loaned it out to someone who's a better guitar player than I am. Hopefully we'll see a demo at some point in the next few months.

Re: TC Gakki Goat Generator
There's a video for the series:
It's kind of curious to see it plugged into a Roland JC-120. I suppose that was simpler than two mono amps, and maybe the flattish response of a Jazz Chorus was a factor. Maybe he was just using it as a monitor with the recording being made using DI.

Re: TC Gakki Goat Generator
Just replied to a Stereo ECHO post, any word how it plays out with line level chains? (Like the originals) I prematurely said “these look geared for instrument-level guitar/stomp box/ amp rigs” before realizing delay/echo usually goes in the Fx loop (line level) my bad 😊. There is a Preamp Level Knob -/+6 so that should help.
Just worried as it’s going after my SR&D Stereo Chorus/Echo that puts out +9dBu / ~3Vrms. And since my Module rig is rack-based, now I have a stomp box sitting on my Stereo Chorus with no external footswitch jack(s) 😔
New here, awesome forum, not many RM sites/info out there. Thanks in advance, guys! Dean
