EQing Ultimatum Distortion Pedal Clone
Do I need a pre/post eq with an Ultimatum Distortion pedal clone.

It will depend on your needs. If the pedal sounds good as is, then probably not. If you have very specific EQ needs, then you may want to add EQ before and after the pedal.
I recall this EQ process being described as using the pre-EQ to bring out the harmonics of a particular fundamental frequency then, using the post EQ to notch out the fundamental frequency after the overdrive/distortion circuit. I'd approach it by listening, while simultaneously adjusting the pre and post levels for a particular frequency.
This isn't limited to Rockman gear. You can do this kind of process with any overdrive/distortion unit. There might be some other ideas on the forum.
